Juvederm XC

As we age, our skin has been exposed to sunlight and environmental factors that can cause less natural hydration in the skin. The decrease in hydration, caused by a decrease of hyaluronic acid (HA), leads to wrinkles and folds in the skin. These folds are most noticeable as “parentheses” around the nose and mouth.

Juvederm XC is an injectable gel used for smoothing out wrinkles, especially “smile lines” around the mouth. It aids in replacing the HA that has been lost and adds volume to fill wrinkles and folds, making them less noticeable.

Juvederm XC is FDA approved and, in some cases, the results will last up to one year after only one treatment. The product also contains a mild anesthetic, to decrease discomfort both during and after the injections.
